Slow file copy speeds inside workgroup
  For the past few days I am facing the following problem and I can't solve no matter how much Google I use :-)

I have an PC running XP Pro SP2, a PCH-A100 media streamer and the IB-4220. They all connected fine between each other and to the Intervet (they see each other in the workgroup, access is correctly set, ping works fine and all 3 devices can download from the Internet). Moreover, streaming works perfectly (Nas -> PC & Streamer, PC -> Streamer) no video or sound problems.

Whenever I try to do a file copy from my PC to the NAS (fromm 100kb to 1Gb files) the speed is slow. By slow I mean an avg transfer rate of 100-500kb/sec and after a few mins I get an error that the disk is full. I have tried Total Commander I use in XP, windows explorer and ftp. When I copy from NAS to PC I get up to 5Mb/sec but again this is not the speed one expects from 100Mbit ethernet network!

No firewalls, no antivirus, no traffic control programs, the ethernet cable is Cat 5e supporting up to 1Gbit and so is the switch I have (TS-Link). I have played around with my registry settings on TCP/IP settings (MTU, etc), I have upgraded my PC netcard drivers (Intel Pro/1000 PM onboard), I switch from 1Gbit to 100Mb/Full Duplex, nothing has worked so far. Even when connecting the NAS directly to the PC, I still get the same speed!

Any help is appreciated, since I have RAID 1 of 1TB in the IB-4200 and can't take the HDs out to place them in my PC and copy what I need

Divx: Browser-Plug-In für Firefox & Co.
  Divx Labs hat die erste Beta des Divx Browser Plug-Ins veröffentlicht. Mittels des Plug-Ins können im Browser DivX-Videos abgespielt werden.

Die von Divx Labs jetzt veröffentlichte erste Beta des Divx Browser Plug-Ins ersetzt das vor einiger Zeit veröffentlichte ActiveX-Control, zum Abspielen von Divx-Videos im Browser-Fenster. Dieses ActiveX-Control konnte nur in Verbindung mit dem Internet Explorer eingesetzt werden. Nach der positiven Resonanz hat sich Divx Labs entschieden, ein Browser-Plug-In zu entwickeln, dass für alle gängigen Browser geeignet ist.

Das neue Plug-In "DivX Browser" kann sowohl mit dem Internet Explorer (ab 5.0) als auch mit Firefox (ab 1.0), Mozilla (ab 1.7) und Netscape (ab 8.0) eingesetzt werden. Derzeit gibt es nur eine Windows-Version. Varianten für MacOS X und Linux sollen demnächst folgen.

Der Download des Plug-Ins beträgt 1,3 MB. Nach der Installation können im Browser Divx-Filme abgespielt werden. Unterstützt wird die Wiedergabe von Divx-Videos im Divx 5- oder Divx 6-Format. Auf Wunsch können die Videos auch im Vollbild angezeigt werden (Doppelklick auf Video) oder auf Festplatte abgelegt werden (Rechtsklick in Videofenster und "Save Video as…" im Kontextmenü auswählen).

Websites, die ihren Besuchern Divx-Videos zum Ansehen bereitstellen möchten, benötigen keinen Streaming-Server. Es genügt, das Divx-Video auf dem Webserver abzulegen. Das Plug-In greift sich von dort aus direkt das Video und spielt es im Browser ab.
